Joe
Hier moved from his home town of Boston, Massachusetts to sunny Los Angeles,
in late 2003 to produce music, perform live and to leave his construction
business “Joseph the Carpenter” behind. Forming “Hollywood
U2”was the perfect manifestation of these desires. By early 2005, Hollywood
U2 took off and Joe has since been touring around the world and performing
at arenas, major corporate, private and public events, weddings, anniversaries,
etc.
Joe's musical background consists of composing music for two movie soundtracks,
countless commercial music spots for television, and symphonic music and sound
effects for industrial videos for U.S. President Bill Clinton and the U.S.
Defense Dept. He has also composed countless symphonies, produced five music
videos, and recorded twenty-nine albums where he performed all the tasks of
engineering and instrumentation.
Joe
is currently rocking the world with Hollywood U2 and working on new material
for his next studio album. When not doing music he is painting and inventing.
HOLLYWOOD LARRY
C. J. Macchia began playing guitar in high school in a garage band in Long Island, NY. He then went on to the University of Massachusetts where he studied music theory while playing in numerous cover bands in the bar and fraternity circuit. It was that time that allowed him to develop his electric and acoustic guitar playing skills. After college, he returned to New York to continue working as a live and studio session player. He then made the move to Southern California where he continues his work as a session player and has performed mainly with the OC based trio, Carry the Zero.
His love for U2 began from their very first album. He’s been relentlessly chasing the Edge’s guitar sound since first hearing it. Whatever the project, he has always gravitated toward the VOX AC30 sound and heavy use of delays. To say the least, he is amped to perform as The Edge in The World’s Leading U2 Tribute Show, Hollywood U2.

Steve Judd Jr. was born in Oak Harbor, WA. He had a passion for music early, growing up in a music filled household. Steve taught himself how to play the drums by ear at the age of 12 by watching classic 80's music videos and live concerts.
Steve is now a 13 year veteran of the Los Angeles music scene. He has played countless shows with original bands and solo artists, at almost every venue in Los Angeles, as well as many others throughout the Southwest region. He has opened for legendary artists including The Fixx, Erasure, Dramarama, The English Beat, Dave Wakeling, Martha Davis & The Motels and Simple Minds.
When Steve isn’t playing with Hollywood U2, he records music for licensing and placements in TV, films and commercials. Steve is thrilled to be paying homage to the man who inspired him to play the drums in the first place, Larry Mullen Jr., playing songs by his favorite band in The World’s Leading U2 Tribute Show, Hollywood U2! He currently resides in Santa Monica, CA.
